Out: Liverpool should find out today how long Sturridge will be sidelined for
Here's all the latest Liverpool stories from this morning's Daily Mirror...

Italian job

Fabio Borini has insisted he is ready to fight for an Anfield future.
The Italian has vowed to rise above the criticism aimed his way from Sunderland, QPR and Liverpool fans, for what they claimed were cynical wage demands which scuppered any chance of a transfer window switch.
“I know that it is a real challenge now to find a space in the Liverpool side, because the competition here is so great, and there are many good players," he said. “But for me, that should be a motivation, not a problem.
"I have committed to the club, and I want to earn a place in the side. It is my aim to return to the team and to score goals for Liverpool. I know it will not be easy, it will be very challenging. But I am motivated.
"Yes, I heard some criticism, but I made the decision and it is my job to prove I can be worth a place. That’s what I aim to do now.”

Italian job II

Juventus are targeting a January move for Liverpool full-back Glen Johnson.
England international Johnson is on course to become a free agent at the end of the season but Juve believe they may be able to do a cut-price deal with the Reds and sign him in the next window.
Liverpool risk losing Johnson for nothing next summer but so far they have not reached agreement on a new contract.
But Juventus may find Johnson's big contract a stumbling block. The 30-year-old defender is likely to want a big pay-day if he moves to Italy.

Spanish flee?

Rafa Benitez turned down a lucrative move to Real Madrid TWICE while he was Liverpool boss.
The claims, made by his agent, suggest that club president Florentino Perez first tried to get the Spaniard on board back in 2008.
And then, after being rebuffed once, Los Blancos attempted to prise Benitez away from Anfield again 12 months later.
Manuel Pellegrini went on take the reins at the Bernabeu but not before the then-Reds manager had turned them down.
"Rafa was for two consecutive years given the chance to become coach of Real Madrid," Manuel Garcia Quilon said.
