Lukaku can go on to surpass all expectations and go on to become one of
the best players in the world.
Howard partly credits the youngster’s attitude, saying that unlike
many young stars, the Belgian international works incredibly hard to
improve.
The American shot stopper said: “He wants to be the best footballer in the world, he really does.
“That’s what he thinks of himself. He gets his head down and he works, and we push him.
“He’s electric, he’s alive, he celebrates goals in training,
everything counts to him. Everything matters. That’s what you want to
see. There are too many young kids that take it for granted. Romelu
doesn’t. He cost a lot of money but he is not arrogant, he is hungry.
“He was always going to go for a big fee, but he is not affected by
that stuff. He is a kid, a kid who likes to play video games and play
football, that’s it – even the video games are football.
“He is not going to get distracted. With guys of his talent, the sky is the limit.”
